Online Reed Classes!
2024 Reed classes will include two ad hoc classes per month, an hour and a half each.
No need to commit to the entire month!
Class pricing:
$15 / class for Adults
$8 / class for Students (College/HS/MS/Elem.)

As always, these classes will be online through the Zoom platform. When you buy a class, you’ll receive a link to my Zoom room.
Questions and conversations in class are welcome and encouraged.
If you are planning to ask for reed adjustment help, please make sure to have a good microphone available, and turn on the “Original Sound for Musicians” setting in your Zoom audio settings. This setting may only show up on desktops or laptops.
ACDC Reeds GSP cane will be available for purchase for anyone who signs up for the class, as an extra expense in the listing. This cane is not commercially available. Feel free to seek any source of cane you’d like to use for forming classes.
ACDC Reeds blanks are always available as part of the weekly reed sales limit of my shop. Feel free to seek any source of blanks you’d like for reed scraping classes, and bring your current reed case for personalized adjustment help.
Reed Making Private Lessons
I am always offering a private lesson package specifically for reed making, if you’d like to learn my process directly. This package includes 5 one-hour private lessons for a total of $400. In these lessons, we’ll walk through the process as follows:
Lesson 1: Forming Blanks / All about tools and cane selection
Lesson 2: Forming Review / Wrapping and Sealing
Lesson 3: Scraping Blanks
Lesson 4: Play Testing / Adjustment
Lesson 5: Adjusment cont. / Review of any previous technique of your choice
